An hour before my wedding...

That was I think 4 or 5 months ago when I suddenly realized that time passes by so fast, and i just uttered the words " mamaya 1 hour na lang wedding ko na". A week and a day ago, I kept on thinking about that phrase that I said and there it is...it happened..an hour before my wedding I still keep on thinking about that phrase that I've said 5 months ago and I can't believe that there I am in my hotel suite standing and getting ready to fit in my gown and savor the walk of my life to meet the man of my dreams.

It is really an amazing feeling to be married, I enjoyed every moment of our wedding and it's a miracle that I didn't even shed a single tear...maybe I am just more happy than sentimental! At least I made everybody cry when the door opened...even my groom! Haha!

Anyway, I promise I will make kwento about my wedding...just need to settle first!

Richard Agtarap - d'host

Richard was Anne's host on her wedding last January, at that time we are not in full force on our preps yet that's why we didn't realize that we want him to be our host too, so we let that opportunity to talk to him fly.

After attending a friend's wedding just recently, we realized that we need to book a host na as soon as possible, 'coz our wedding day is a hot date so we're afraid we can't have the best ones na. Bryan was the one who reminded me of Richard, he remembered how he did his hosting stint on Anne's wedding and he realized that we never had a dull moment with his performance. He's very lively and can go on an impromptu show.

So here's the story, when I contacted him he said he will still check 'coz he has a tentative schedule on that date so I said ok but deep inside I am reciting all the prayers in the world! haha...no joke! After two days of my being very persistent and consistent on asking him to be our host, he texted me one morning to confirm my booking!!! It's just perfect. Thank's Richard.

Center Table - The right choice

We had another food tasting last Saturday with Rica of Center Table, and what can we say??? First Impression last! Their food is much greater than our first taste test, Bryan can't even utter a single word while having the taste test in the Valera residence in Merville.

It's really funny 'coz we didn't realize that we are sitting in their dining table and sharing stories with Rica for about 4 straight hours! We almost talked about everything and also the food is overflowing as in non-stop!!! We finalized our menu, cake, centerpieces and everything, Rica is very accomodating as ever and her family too, we're just very happy that we got them for our big day!!! Thanks Rica!

FLOWERS!!! This is my life!!! I love flowers so much!!! Well, obviously I am a flower person because even if you give me a piece of carnation I will smile big time already. Yeah, that's true. Anyways, we already picked the design for our church flowers last Tuesday at Scenta Flora's office at Fernbrook Gardens.

I even rushed to pick up bry at home to be able to get to Fernbrook at a 6:30 appointment with Jeff. Bing Montes (owner) and I were texting each other all through out the day and she sd she might not be able to meet me 'coz she's also in an event so Jeff will be the one to handle my concerns. Alright, when we arrived there Fernbrook was really in deep silence because there is no event that day and the office is at the basement and all of the staffs had already gone home that's why it's some kinda creepy hihi...of course we started to look at some photos of the designs that we like, we really love their hook stands because the original idea was to hook on bird cages with love birds and at the same time it will serve as our souvenirs for the entourage but unfortunately hook stands were already taken!!!! WAAHHH!!! So the options are the basic package with upgrades of Garden aisle and stair railings, Candelabras and Lamp Post!!! Lamp post is the the best seller because it was really god damn beautiful!!! but yeah it has also a damn price...haha...

While we were thinking, the door opened and there they are...Bing and Rey Monted arrived, their first words were.. "ano? mag lamp post na kayo!"....why are they so good on convincing us? so there...we got the lamp post in short...nakuha kami sa kwentuhan ba!!! hehe...but yeah I know it will be worth it...

The one that I am thinking of right now is my entourage boquets and mine as well, she offered me adiscounted price which is a nice one...its really a nice one and I am thinking about it for 2 days now...

Bry and I will be going to a trip to Dangwa this saturday just to have an idea on what we like on our boquets and how cheap we can get in Dangwa but we're still strongly considering Scenta's offer, don't worry Bing and Jeff...haha...

My Wedding Gown

OMG! I know! It has been a long time since I last posted, but yeah give justice to me, I'm in a toxic mode for like 4 months now with work and wedding preps on weekend. Alright, so just to share my latest accomplishments, We booked my gown designer already and our church flosrist. It has been a long decision process for the two of us because we are also considering other options, but then of course we decided to get the best in our taste and a quality supplier.

Alright let's start with my designer and will do another post for my florist.

Her name is Jazel Sy, a young fashionista, just about my age ('coz I'm young!), her shop is located in Paco, Manila just along Quirino Avenue. I first knew of Jazel Sy Fashion Shop at the Wedding Expo in PICC last March (I think?) and then we visited her shop last April and we liked the way her shop looks like, specially my future MIL, and we instantly like her designs! Very modern and unique!

Just leave the sketch with me this time, I will be posting it if it's already final, because we are still deciding on the final details of my gown, but definitely it will be more on beads and some accents 'coz I'm a bead person :)

Price? Let's not talk about it. haha!!!
Rapport? OMG! We instantly clicked!!! Jazel is so amazing...and beautiful!!!

Anyways guys just wait for my next post with the sketch of my gown...surprise!!!

Wedding Expo:March 8-PICC/ Fernbrook Update: Mini Basilica Doors

Bry and I went to Wedding Expo today at PICC Forum to scout for gown designers and talk to Ms. Rica of Center Table. But of course we got to see all of our suppliers there, we saw lovely of Fernbrook, of course Ms. Rica and Ms. Rose Valera of Center Table who gave us free lunch courtesy of food tasting for all, and of course Junlyn of Events by M&G who is very very sweet! I haven't met Sir Anthony of East Digital because he just left when we arrived but then we got to see their new masterpieces hehe :)

We saw a lot of prospect designers, and we will just make an appointment for consultations by the beginning of holy week since I am on vacation by that time and we will also set an appointment with Center Table to atleast finalize the menu.

This edition of Wedding Expo is a full blast! We even had a hard time finding a parking slot and hard time on walking thru the stalls because of lots of couples and guests who came to scout for suppliers, but yes, it was FUN!!!

By the way, we went straight to Fernbrook to visit the place and check on its progress. We didn't have the chance to roam around a lot because there are 4 weddings taking place, 2 are on their reception areas, 1 just finished their ceremony and the other 1 getting ready for the ceremony. But the most grandest improvement was the doors of the mini basilica. The last time I went there about a month ago there were still no doors and I am really amazed when I saw the doors a while ago...here are the pics...take a look at it!

SF Update: Macky's Welcome and Anne's Farewell Dinner :)

The ocassion is a happy one because Macky just came back from overseas assignment in Saudi, but at the same time it is also a sad one because Anne will be leaving for Singapore to be with hubby JayR and at the sametime there is a new job waiting for her there.

It was a sumptuous buffet dinner at Brazil Brazilian in Alabang Town Center, we really got full because of the different kinds of barbecues and my favorite was the pork belly and the beef tenderloin. Thanks Anne and Macky for that hehe!!!

But of course, if there's one thing that is commonly very important to all of us, definitely that would be our cameras,we can't live without it and can't stand if it will run out of battery! Just like what happened to me :(

It is a tradition in this group to take pictures before dinner, while dinner is served or while getting our food at the buffet, during dinner (literally while you are chewing your food!), after dinner, while having desert, while goofing aroundand whilesaying goodbyes. This is the only kind of memory that will last forever and is a good tool for reminiscing.

My new family...

I'm not talking of an immediate family or whatsoever, but a new set of friends which serves as my constant companion everyday for 1 and a half month now. I've been engaged on a very extensive training with Unilab particularly with Westmont Pharmaceuticals for almost 2 months now, and this is the hardest training I ever experienced. But in terms of return of investment, I believe it will be millions and millions of payback for my hardwork and effort. Imagine, I've been travelling everyday for almost 3 1/2 hrs, 1 1/2 in the morning from Las Piñas to Greenhills and then 2hrs at night from Greenhills to Las Piñas, plus the fact that we are undergoing a very hectic and stressful training for 8 hrs or more everyday.

But then, I consider this a nurturing and happy experience because we also have good times, that is after our quizzes and 3hr-long finalexam...hehe.

My new career...

If you knew me pretty well this is not new to you anymore...I have a new career that I really want to pursue...well, this is my 5th job but then I want to say that this should be the last 'coz this company is ver nice and not to mention a leading company in their industry. And I don't want to say completelyand for sure that I am already "IN" but then I am still on a very extensive training which makes my head burst everyday...I am very positive in everything but I just don't want to be overconfident that I can surpass everything but I always pray that I should pass this training because if not all effortswill be wasted.

Hard work and effort, that is the only thing I am giving out for the past 3 weeks now, but it's fun 'coz i get to meet a lot of people and learna lot of things...as in literally A LOT!!!

Too much with that, it's our most awaited call since last year... its UNILAB.
Bry and I have been waiting for their call since december of last year and I am so happy when they called me last january 7 to report the next day for exam and a series of interviews that extended for 2 days pa. I am searching for myself for the last years on what career should I pursue, I've been working inside an office for the past 4 years now and I can't get the job satisfaction I want so I realized that it might be a field job that I will excell in to. And I am already feeling it, I amvery excited to work in this company that's why I am giving my very best to pass this training.

The sad part of it, I left my job at HSBC with a bad exit. I don't mean to, believe me...I just want this job badly and I have no choice but toresign immediately and I'm sorry if I wasn't able to report to work even once nor talk to my managers personally, I promise the time is near and I will air my side and talk to you guys personally and clear everything.

Dinner date; abi's birthday-Stress Relief!!!!

Last weekend, I was able to release all the stress in my body...(literally:all over my body!) haha

That was Friday, on my way home when I was looking at nowhere, sitting in the bus I thought of having a dinner at a good resto to pamper myself and also as promised to go to abi's birthday celeb at Molokai in Alabang (kahit na pagod at super antok nako; i need to have my social life back!!!)

So we had dinner at this very nice place in Alabang - Leslie's. Their kubo's are very nice and interesting....not to mention very attracting talaga...it was our first time in Leslie's Alabang but we had dinner once na in Leslie's Tagaytay na beautiful din ang ambience.

Their food is really great, we had our usual menu: crispy pata and calamares and isang bandehadong kanin!!! The waiters are also warm, ang babait sipag mag take ng pictures! :)

And after dinner, as promised we went to abi's birthday celeb at Molokai...i'm so happy to be reunited with my HSBC friends!!!

Anne and JayR's wedding

Last Jan 5, my dear friend anne and her other half jayr tied the knot at a church in Pasig (sorry anne i forgot the name of the church hehe) and held their reception at Makati Sports Club. I am so happy Bry accompanied me because it will also be the first timemy SF friends will meet my fiance.

We picked up Liapot at Manila Pen at 1pm and then we headed to Pasig already with the guide of the useful map anne provided together with their beautiful invitation. When we got there of course the first thing we did was to take pictures of everyone hehe.

Their wedding was so solemn and romantic not to mention very emotional...I even cried when Anne was already walking down the aisle...haha

And then at the reception, we were assigned to the table near the cake and near the stage...(anne really knows what we want) hehe...the venue was very nice transformed into a very nice reception venue with butterflies around, swags an spotlights and the food was good too!!! I Love the prichon!!! Of course the picture picture won't be be out of the agenda haha...

After that we asked anne to go with us for our traditional coffee tambay...hehe joke!!!

We had coffee at Starbucks in Macapagal....uminom pala muna kami konti...hehe

New Year Party!!!

Of course after Christmas...new year is a very special day to celebrate!!!

Chistmas is over, sad :( pero syempre memories will always stay. This year we I celebrated christmas with family, of course bryan, and my friends here and abroad who came home for the holidays. It was fun, of course given the fact na happy ang ambience pag christmas. My last day at work was dec 20, then I was on leave na to attend to special events (special events daw o) like family and friends reunions and christmas parties as well, and then on xmas eve we just went to mass and then after noche buena ift giving with bry's family fun fun fun!!! And then we had coffee with friends after....

Just a day after our reunion cum xmas party, anne and lia called me to go to shopping in Alabang for our dress and shoes to be used on Anne's bday...demanding ang bride...she even decided for the shoes and the color of my dress haha..peace anne :)

It was really fun hanging out with this two girls...kasi lahat kami baliw! :)
And itwas literally shopping, lia bought a lot of stuffs for her andfor her mom and sister, while anne bought gifts for her family, well me? I just bought my dress and a sunglass from Mango which is an impulsive buy because it's SALE!!! si lia kasi eh...

Oh my god! Can you believe it in one day we had 5 ocassions on one sitting???.... kami lang ang may pasimuno ng mga yan...bwahaha...

All of us working, some abroad and some at night, in short no time to get together on a normal day...that's why we always make sure to save one day every December to have our yearly reunion cum xmas party for our group...and SF!!!! short for sportsfest originated last 2005, but we still remain intact and close to each other kahit na karamihan eh nasa abroad...a lot of emails, chika messages, ym and everything...

I love this group so much, I always feel very hyper when I am with them because we really bonded so well when all of us were still with one company and themost important thing is that we keep our communication lines open.

Ok let's start with what happened last dec 22 at molokai grill in Alabang...
First gift giving...the best gift I received was from joms...my fave pocky!!! and of course everybody...then exchange gifts...grabe ha mahal ng gifts namin haha....and it was really fun getting the gift that you wished for...

thanks liapot for the lacoste pouch!!! aylabyu...you really know what I like most...bwahaha...and of course thanks to everybody or the gifts I really had fun...

and then liapot blew her bday cake...(w/c an idea came from anne and icay's guilt!) di kasi namin sya nabati on time....

Holiday Season...very busy!

It has been a very busy xmas for me, see I wasn't able to post anything here after our dampa and star city trip... :)

Well, anyway here it is, let's start with christmas, few days before xmas bry and I were very busy buying stuffs, gifts and everything. We had mall and tiangge trips almost everyday and night plus the fact that I am working at 2am~11am every day sunday to thursday huh! And to add all the xmas parties that we attended separately and together, I did not even had the chance to sleep for 8 hrs a day to hybernate from my working days, I hate work! haha.. But it was fun, seeing my good old friends, buying a lot of gifts for monito and monitas etc...etc...

Weekend @star city, dampa and starbucks

Again, this was a long overdue post, actually I am so excited to post this topic though I am waiting for kookai to email me the pics, and now I already have it...here it is...

Last last weekend, kookai was here for a vacation for 1week, she took a break from work in Singapore to be here for her mom's birthday and of course to be with us, hehe. We had dinner at our favorite Sharmila at Dampa, Macapagal-with our fave menu...butterd garlic sugpo, ginataang alimango, calamares, sinigang, inihaw na liempo and ensaladang mangga, all courtesy of kookai!!!haha After filling up our stomach, we went to Snow World at Star City to experience snow...duh of course..what else?

Snow World is a new one to visit, though the place was the same as the Ice world before but this time there's a burst of snow from above and it's really cold...as in I tell you even if you are wearing a jacket plus the jackets they will provide for you is not enough to fight it. And it's really funny that before we come in they will brief you for some things like no cameras allowed and if you like to have a picture you can approach their official photographer and you will pay for P100 for the printout which is not nice...but when we got in they can't stop you from taking pictures using your own camera...haha....and it's really cute...it's like real snow in picture...hehe

Anyway, after that as usual the same old itinerary before signing off...Starbucks at Harbour.

Fernbrook Update 12-03-07

I got this from a photographer's multiply site...I'm sorry I have to grab it because I am really looking for vandolf's wedding pics for days now, not for showbiz thingy but to see how they made the place up for a big time wedding like this...

Fernbrook Update after 1 week... 12-01-07

Fernbrook's supposed to be "Grand Opening"date is today...and the blessing was supposed to be yesterday 11-30-07, but then they moved the blessing of the basilica today because of bad weather yesterday. Grand Opening? It's not really grand...because it's not yet 100% done...even 50%....but then me and bry were really stunned!!! It's so nice...and we can't wait for our big day and we can't wait for Fernbrook to be done...

One thing I really appreciate about their staff is that they are really maalaga...specially our AE Lovely and Marivic...windang na sila ever pero maasikaso pa din...Center Table is also serving cocktails...we even saw Ms. Rica though we didn't approach her anymore...

It's really funny because the blessing did not push through again bec the priest got sick daw and was rushed to the hospital...nakakaawa puro malas...hehebut it's all worth it naman nag ribbon cutting na lang...ang ganda kasi talaga ng place...

Fernbrook Update 11-23-07

Hay...here are the latest pics of Fernbrook...that was taken nov23 at 3pm, I know they are really working nonstop to finish it on time...but then cguro the time is not enough lang...

Weddings at Work was supposed to hold their Xmas party at Fernbrook on that same date but they moved it to Fernwood...you know why...we can't have a party in this kind of situation...I just can't imagine how the 1st wedding on nov30 will look like...kawawa naman yun if I were them move to fernwood na lang yun eh if accessible...it's not nice kasi for pictures and for a wedding...under construction pa rin kasi...although there are some improvements na, there are glass walls na...dome...nad makikita mo na din church and victorian garden before kasi super bare pa talaga...

I am not sure if the blessing of the mini basilica will push through on the 30th...but then I am just waiting for a txt messagefrom lovely if its canncelled or not...

Pero its really nice...I love the place...ganito pa lang itsura nya pero you can see that it will turn out really beautiful....I cant wait to see it fully furnished...

Sick Weekend

This was actually overdue post already...I was just busy fixing our wedsite... :)

Last Saturday, we went to SMX Convention Center for a Car Show, it was fun...all the cars are really nice...as in BIG TIME!!! It was the first time I saw the nicest Tamaraw FX of all times...haha...sexy promo girls (which Bry enjoyed for sure), bling blings, trucks, vintage, customized, etc...It was really cold, good thing we had our jackets because both of us are sick last week, we just can't let that kind of event pass by...the place is nice, it's a new convention center beside MOA in front of Shrine of Jesus in Macapagal...

And then, we went to Global Fun Carnival....it was really fun!!! Even if it was only me and bry...we paid for the ride-all-you-can but at first I was hesitant because I wasn't in the mood for taking rides, but then Bry is so makulit...ang ending we haven't had the chance to try any of the rides because their rides if not extreme its so baduy...all we did was to play games...

It's a fun weekend...

Wedding Events...Job Pressure...etc

hay...I just can't contain it...I need to share it...hehe...

anyway, upcoming wedding events are hectic in 2 weeks time...will be attending the w@w christmas party at Fernbrook on november 23 (if it will push through, I believe they are still checking if Fernbrook will finish on time), the good thing about that is we willbe having free prenup pictorials with different photographers...and anne said we will also have free make up...yahoo!!! and by november 24 we'll be going to megatrade for the bridal fair...we are planning to book printed matter by that timewe'll check if there's an option pa aside from them.

by november 30, we'll be attending Notr Dame de Vi Chapelle's blessing (Fernbrook's mini basilica) at 9:00am, straight from work ako nun, bry will pick me up nalang at work...sana hindi ako masyadong magmukhang hagard noh...hehehe

anyway...just to share, I went to Mandarin Hotel yesterday in Makati Ave., I have an interview for a position there, syempre ako go kasi sosyal eh and feel ko din mag work sa hotel kasi ganda uniforms specially in Mandarin 'coz they're using chinese style clothes, kaya lang when I get to their HR Dept, frustrating talaga kasi its so small to the extent na sa dami ng applicants nila eh may nag eexam na sa mgr's rooms, and when the recruitment mgr interviewed me parang "Ay tapos na"....not to be boastful naman kaya lang kasi masyado namang madali parang walang due process...and they sd that they will just call me for my next interview...i don't think i will go back pa in the first place nahirapan nga ako magpunta dun eh...yun lang....hehe

and now all i can say is that I AM STRESSED with work!!!! I want a long vacation!!!

Wedding Theme

It's been a while since I started thinking of a theme for a December wedding. I can't think of one, aside from "Christmas" of course, and it fits our motif as well, "Deep red".

But then, something slipped into my mind when I remembered that we will be having butterfly release after the ceremony, and we are also planning to put wings on our flower girl's gowns since we will have our wedding at Fernbrook Gardens I thought of "A Fantasy Wedding" theme.

Another one that I thought of was "A decade of love", but the problem is I'm not sure on how to incorporate the theme into our wedding. That's why I need your help guys...please help me decide...and if you have suggestions for other themes just put a comment on this posts or on the chatbox. Please help me by voting on the poll.

Rockwell Bridal Fair

Hay...as posted earlier..there is another one worry of our back: event coordinator. We got events by m&g by Junlyn and Karen. The fair is a bit small compared to other fairs but its ok as long as we accomplished something...hehe.

We saw Paulo Clemente in person, actually we are planning to get him as our wedding singer and Host, but we're still thinking of it because we are also considering a female vocalist and host. We also saw other videographers that we haven't seen before and we just had an idea of adding up another video supplier, yeah we already had East Digital as our videographer too, but we like to have Bob Nicolas or Reel Deal to cover another video for us. Bob Nicolas is really great, I saw his work for Nikki Valdez's wedding. But it still depends, it will be the last priority after all has been done already.

It's great that we get to have free booklets fromW@W, The W@W Wedding Primer and Yellow Pages, we also had a sample of Paulo Clemente's CD, placed in the big paper bag from wedding essentials that I really like the combination of the color of it.

And then after booking our coordinator, we headed to Powerplant Mall to have our lunch. At first we walked around kasi ang ganda ng timing namin sale pala sila at that time, pero hindi maganda ang timing ng bulsa kasi kaka bayad lang namin sa coordinator hehe.

We went down to scout for good food, at napadpad kami sa Myron's Steak and Seafoods, and we hate it. Yeah steak sya...pero hindi sya ganun kasarap at super liit ng serving for $600/pax!!! Could you imagine Bry's frustration at that time??? gutom na gutom pa naman sya that time.

Hay but it's ok atleast we already had an experience. Afterwards, we head to Greenhills para mamasyal lang at maghanap ng mga baril baril ng fiance ko...hehe.

Events by M & G @ Rockwell Bridal Fair

Finally, we met the coordinator that we are praying for. Just to share our qualifications for a coordinator that will take care of our big day: witty, kikay, always on a smile, approachable, makulit, and talkative as long as its entertaining.

While we are roaming around the rockwell tent, we then see a lot of coordinators, we were actually about to inquire at Shindig, they're my friend Anne's coordinator, but then we decided to take one last walk around, then I inquired with Perfect Moments but the girl in the booth is not entertaining, so bagsak na agad. At the far end of the room while I am looking at the elegantly designed unity candles, Junlyn Miranda suddenly approached us with her kikay smile. BINGO!!! Actually, nag isip pa kami, we did not say yes instantly, kasi sakit na namin ni bry yan eh lagi mali decisions namin pag nagmamadali (like that stupid steakhouse we ate at for lunch@powerplant).
Pagkaikot namin....sabi ni bry...."babe gusto ko sila... (hmmm...gusto???) magaan loob ko sa kanila" i thought of it....yeah oo nga ang gaan gaan kausap. The rest is history. We left rockwell tent with a contract from Events by M&G by Junlyn and Karen. Affordable pa.

Airsoft Addiction

Bryan's latest addiction!!! He's super addict, if not practicing shooting in their own garage, you can just find him in front of the computer, watching videos at you tube...of course about airsoft.
We even fought about this because...honestly it's not practical, though I can't do anything...he's happy doing this!!! And he's really childish eh when it comes to this kind of activities. He loves playing everything.

He even made his 2 brothers bought their own guns too, even accessories and they seem to be like real soldiers because they have this complete uniform thing.
But it's good though, at least he spends his time with boys not girls...hehe...joke!!! He also wanted me to join them...but yeah...all close to me knows why I don't like....duh? sisigaw lang ako dun noh!!

Our Pick: Center Table Catering

There are only 3 choices for us, Juan Carlo, Josiah's and Center Table. We were able to have a food tasting with Juan Carlo but never with Josiah's, and of course we had our first food tasting with Center Table. When we tasted Center Table's food it was a sudden decision, their food is good and their service and style is also good. And the best thing that I like about them is that while we are eating Ms. Rica and her mom (the owners) entertains us once in a while.

After eating, I talked to Ms. Rica right away and discussed every detail but since my wedding would be over a year from now pa, we just discussed some of the freebies that she will be giving me since we booked at that Wedding Expo Bridal Fair last Sept 1 & 2, and of course we booked the date!

We also like their centerpieces and their overall design, with candles and everything...and the flowers will actually be done by scenta flora as well, the one that might also do our church's floral arrangement, but no final decision yet on that one.

East Digital...made it to the finals!

After shortlisting the suppliers for our photo and video coverage, we then had a deadline for booking the winner (the chosen one..hihi)...at the Wedding Expo at PICC last Sept. 1 & 2. After going around and around their stalls, we then see Ariel Javelosa, Smart Shot, Lito Sy, East Digital, Richel Mascariñas, and many many more...and the one that we are actually looking for is not there...Henry Villanueva, we met him at the bridal fair last July at Megatrade and Bry really liked him, but then we stopped by in front of East Digital's stall, we browsed their albums, the photos, the guestbook...etc...we liked their shots...they have good quality abums with briefcase and there are so many inclusions in the package that they gave me.

Thanks to Ms. Susan Magana, because she is so nice, she have included everything in the package since we booked them that day.

Well we haven't scheduled a visit at their office in Oritgas yet but for sure we will before this year ends, and we'll talk about every details as well as schedule our prenup for next year.

After we have booked the venue, that was only the time that we had the guts to announce it to our friends. We're very excited, Bry informed his friends separately and with his style, while I informed Anne first because we can relate to each other because she is getting married by January, and then I texted Lia, my bestfriend in Korea, and then my officemates because they are the only one whom I always hang out with, and then my close friends...some of them I texted and some of them I messaged in Friendster.

Their reaction was: "Sa Wakas! After 10 years!"

It was fun because some of my friends are asking about everything, what's the motif? etc..etc...
And it really made me excited and it made me decide as well to create a blog so that they don't have to ask me again and again. And again this blog is under the influence of Anne again...hehe nawili kasi ako tumambay sa blog nila ni jayR eh...thanks anne...

First thing to do: Find a venue

For me, haven't seen any wedding planner, wedding magazines, haven't attended a wedding fair yet...the first thing that I need to do in preparing for a wedding is to find a venue. It's the very important thing in this event, because the venue should be the one you like and the one you chose not just it's the one left not fully booked.

We had attended our first bridal fair in Megatrade Hall in Megamall last June, without any idea yet for our wedding, we inquired with every stall that we pass by, rings, gowns, photo & video, venue, caterer, etc. We had like 2 bags of flyers!

I didn't notice Fernbrook Gardens at the fair, I only saw the Fernwood Gardens stall with their usual wooden tables and chairs, because they're really popular. When we were on our way to the parking area we pass by powerbooks to buy Wedding Essentials Magazine as advised by my good friend Anne who's also getting married by January 2008 and she actually serves as my wedding adviser at the moment...haha...

When I was browsing on the magazine, I passed by fernwood's page, it's actually a two-page ad, good thing I'm in the mood on really looking at it, and then on the next page I saw "Finally making their way to the south"...."Fernbrook Gardens New Alabang"....Whaaa!!!!

The next thing I said was: "Babe! may fernwood na sa Alabang!" (the story is we really wanted to have our wedding at fernwood but it's not an option because it's too far) and then he rushed to the magazine and then we browsed its page on the internet at that very moment!

The next thing I did was I reviewed the flyers we got from the fair, and viola! meron pala akong flyers ng fernbrook! I called their office, I talked to the ever nice and considerate Ms. Marivic and Ms. Lovely (which is very lively) hehe, I inquired, made an appointment to the site with no other than the owner itself Mr. Mike de Veyra and made occular at Fernwood to atleast have an idea and then the last thing we knew is that we have finally booked the place...believe it or not we had the last slot for December 20, 2008 for Byzantine Garden in fernbrook Alabang.

And according to Bry he will be renting this carriage which he really got amazed and excited when it was first seen at the PICC Wedding Expo last Sept.1 & 2.

Mission Accomplished: We already booked our venue last August, signed the contract last Sept. 1 at the PICC wedding fair.

Why, finally we decided to get married?

Why? It's because we're READY!!!

Well, yeah honestly, we're not really sure if our sponsors (which is Bry's parents) are ready for this big splurge...hehe...but we took chances. And there was no formal proposal, because wayback like 2-3 years ago we already talked about marriage and that it should be by the year 2007, well obviously it didn't push through this year and we are 1 year delayed from the original plan.

Just to share...the main reason why Bry decided (actually he decided) to talk about this on a more serious note is that he is getting busy with his business, he's getting a lot of clients and he had appointments everyday even on our "Time" (we always set time for each other every single day, beat that!), and sometimes I am already getting annoyed even if I know it's a business thing...so then he decided to set a date for our wedding and prepare for it for real...to have all of our time with each other.

He started it by telling it to his parents. The first reaction of course was "Buti naman!", and then the 1st question was "Kelan?" We havent talked about the exact date yet at that time, but we are choosing from May or December of next year.

And then I told my parents about it, same reactions and questions as well.

Boracay Madness: A pre-wedding prep vacation...

Last June 15, 2007, me and bry headed to kalibo for our much awaited vacation. It was our first time to ride a plane, and knowing me...I'm really super nervous!!! And it was also our first time to go on vacation for just the two of us, and it's really FUN and ROMANTIC!!
There was an option to join our friends on an earlier date but I can't file my leave at work by that time, and yes, we are really looking forward to spend that vacation for just the two of us. It was a plan! haha...

We're not really picture addicts but we have pics of our special moments...but here in Boracay we have a lot of pics...and we just knew that we are addict on taking our own pics...above is the pic bry took overlooking the Kalibo Airport.....

Moving ahead, the moment we step foot at Boracay port, gosh I thought it was a swimming pool! (take note: it's just the port!) But yeah, when we saw the view of the whole boracay, it just seems so perfect!

We stayed at Pearl of the Pacific Resort in the posh Station One...I love the sand there...

It's really nice there, our room, the staff, the sand, the beachbeds and everything...

Enough with the beauty of station 1! Let's talk about our activities there...of course we took like an hour rest before we go out, and the first thing we did was to eat our lunch at sea lover's....wow!!! Super sarap talaga! And then we tried the Island's famous shakes!!! And then we just had a walk from there back to station 1 to change our outfits and start to enjoy the island, while on the way back to pearl we were offered to rent an ATV on the way to Mt. Luho Peak (the highest peak in Bora), of course we obliged, and that was our first activity there.

Okay, that was really tough, because it's so high and my nervous side really made me tired on that trip, but oh well, the view is really awesome and we got to see the other side of bora...

After that we just walked the whole strip of the island and get to see everything that it can offer...window shop at d'mall, viewed the sunset at our beachbeds, of course captured moments, ate dinner at gasthof, we walk our way back to the hotel and just stayed for a while by the beach before we took our rest. And that's for our first day in the island...

Hmmm...second day...first stop...ISLAND HOPPING!!! It was actually fun but the time we arrived in Crocodile Island the water was really not behave just to say...so it made us really dizzy and I got scared when bry told me that he just saw a seasnake....duh...what do you expect my reaction will be??? friends you know my reaction already...hehe...and I even begged to our boatman to stop feeding the fishes because I'm afraid that the seasnake will go near us...whatever!!!

After that, Bry's most awaited!!! JETSKI!!!

Hay, it's really tiring...but it's fun kahit mahal....hehe

After this we just hanged out at the beach beds of pearl, bry had his henna, i had my hair braided by a super nice girl, I sunbathed to have my tan, played with the sand, swam, and bry had his skim boarding tutorial with a native there...and then after that...you can't disturb him!

After this, we are really tired but sayang naman kung hindi kami lalabas....we just went to pier one after dinner....chill out session, but the rain poured a bit so we need to go inside, but it's still cool, after that we just bought some chips, water and medicines at d'mall and then we rode a tryke headed back to our hotel. To sleep!!!!

It's really sad when we woke up in the morning of our third and last day at bora...Bry and I were even talking about extending for a day, but yeah, can't please ourselves by that time because we have committments in Manila by the next day. haay!

The first thing we did was to hang out at pearl's beach beds and feel the island (since it's our last day), took pictures at Willy's rock since it's just near our hotel, swam a bit, we even took picture of ourselves at Waling Waling's famous swings...and walk ourselves to station 2 to have breakfast and had our last minute shopping for pasalubongs and ride our way back to pearl at around 10am.

When we arrived at pearl at 10am (which is the best time to swim because the water is so blue and it's going high tide already) it's like our feet was stucked in the floor and doesnt want to climb up to our room...at that moment we really like to swim even for 15min, but we can't our flight is at 4:00pm but we need to be out at 11am and need to be at Caticlan at 12:00pm and be at Kalibo Airport at 2:00pm...well yeah the 2 hour allowances were just enough for us to still enjoy the water!!! waaahhh!!!
While we are on our way to the port, there's really a feeling of sadness...we don't want to leave boracay, and it's our favorite place in the world. We'll be back for our honeymoon in January 2009. :)
